On or before Nov. 4th, vote YES to RECALL Blash and Hellman

Dear Neighbors,

Fairfax is a special place to call home. We love this community and want to see it safe and prosperous for this generation and the next.

Unfortunately, our current leaders don’t share that vision. Fairfax has been dragged into divisiveness and poor governance by Mayor Lisel Blash and Vice Mayor Stephanie Hellman.

Blash and Hellman have failed our community at every turn. They have failed to address the homelessness crisis, they have failed to protect our quality of life in housing decisions, and they have failed to be good stewards of our taxpayer resources.

Enough is enough.

We are Fairfax residents, local business owners, little league parents, seniors, and community members working to return common sense and good government to Fairfax—and thankfully, our town is on our side. Thanks to thousands of concerned Fairfax residents, voters will have the opportunity to recall Blash and Hellman this November.

This is not a political campaign—it’s a community movement. One that says Fairfax deserves better, and that its people won’t settle for anything less.

We hope you will join us in voting YES to recall Mayor Blash and YES to recall Vice Mayor Hellman.

Sincerely,

Fairfax Recall Committee

Mayor Blash and Vice Mayor Hellman have overseen the perpetual mismanagement of the Town of Fairfax’s budget and empowered the improper use of taxpayer money.

They have wasted hundreds of thousands of dollars with frivolous and irresponsible spending on unnecessary consultants and high legal fees. At the same time, Blash and Hellman have ignored crumbling town infrastructure and mismanaged funds earmarked for maintenance and repairs—leaving Fairfax with the worst roads in Marin County.

Mayor Blash and Vice Mayor Hellman failed to conduct proper oversight of the town manager and town attorney, which led to runaway legal expenses and staffing costs.

Instead of responding to these concerns with transparency, they wasted valuable tax dollars fighting reasonable public records requests and refused to support an independent audit of town finances.

Mayor Blash and Vice Mayor Hellman have failed Fairfax on homelessness:

Mayor Blash and Vice Mayor Hellman are unwilling to address the growing homeless encampment crisis at Contratti Park.

They have ignored repeated pleas from residents to enforce the town’s anti-camping ordinance and get the homeless off our streets. Their lack of action has forced our local little league to play next to a drug riddled encampment, allowed the pollution of our local watershed, and has created a severe fire risk for our homes and businesses.

Mayor Blash voted against the camping ban and has routinely brushed aside the concerns of parents and residents by continuing to allow mentally ill drug users to suffer and degrade our quality of life.

Mayor Blash and Vice Mayor Hellman have routinely supported and pushed extreme housing policies that threaten the quality of life in Fairfax and pitted neighbors against each other. They pushed divisive rent control and just cause eviction ordinances that were repealed by over 60% of the voters in 2024.

Blash and Hellman have also supported unpopular high-density housing that will dramatically alter the livability and character of Fairfax. Their projects would bring hundreds of new residents to Fairfax without additional investments in infrastructure. These dangerous proposals were pushed without consideration of safe evacuation routes in the case of fire, earthquakes, and floods leaving our community at severe risk of catastrophic disasters.
